Targeting the application needs of next-generation IP-centric telecommunications equipment manufacturers, FlexCompute cPCI-CD1215 uses Intel® Core2 Duo technology to improve price, performance, and power of cPCI applications. Running at up to 1.5GHz and delivering up to twice the performance of previous generation Pentium® M boards, cPCI-CD1215 offers vendors the ability to use a CompactPCI board to significantly increase existing and new network capabilities.
Engineered to support a higher level of processing, PICMG 2.16 compliant cPCI-CD1215 delivers an extensive range of on-board features and peripherals. In PICMG 2.16 mode, redundant dual fabric connections are provided to the 2.16 backplane and connect directly into the on-board Gigabit Ethernet switch. Based on the new Intel 3100 integrated North and South bridge chipset, cPCI-CD1215 supports up to two SO-DIMM sites with up to 4GB of DDR2-400 for memory-intensive applications.
The on-board Ethernet switch is ideal for IP-centric applications and provides a high degree of flexibility in routing IP traffic between front / rear Ethernet, PICMG 2.16 ports and the processor. Extended duty SATA disks are also available to support high duty cycle applications.
Coupled with Continuous Computing's family of cPCI platform and Trillium® protocol software solutions, cPCI-CD1215 provides the fastest path from application development to deployment revenue.
