CompactPCI, and PICMG 2.16, Open Standards SBC utilizes Intel® Core2 Duo processor.

The PP 432/05x uses the latest mobile dual core processors from the Intel® embedded roadmap, the 2.16 GHz Intel® Core2 Duo T7400 processor or the 1.5 GHz Intel® Core2 Duo L7400 processor. Both provide a measured improvement in performance/watt.

Utilizing the Intel® 3100 server chipset the PP 432/05x can access up to 4 Gbytes DDR2-400 ECC SDRAM at up to 3.2 Gbytes/s. The Gigabit Ethernet packet switched serial standard - PICMG 2.16 - is optionally supported to provide fast data transfer between other compatible boards in the system.

The 1.5GHz Intel® Core2 Duo L7400 processor based version can also optionally support operating at -25C to +70C and -40C to +85C ranges.

This combination of high performance data processing and a wealth of I/O, including dual PMC/XMC sites, ensure that the boards are ideal for intensive data processing applications within the telecommunications, defense, security, telemetry, scientific and aerospace markets.
