Diversified Technology's PlexSys-1, 1U general purpose CompactPCI System Platform, part of DTI's PlexSys family of PICMG 2.0-compliant building blocks, provides telecom and Internet IP-based OEMs an open standards ecosystem for application solutions development.
The PlexSys-1 rugged, designed-for-NEBS enclosure features a 2-slot transversely mounted backplane with one system master and one node slot. Accepting 6U cards at the front and rear, the backplane provides one CompactPCI bus segment for high density computing. Rear Transition Module (RTM) support allows for pass through I/O to the rear of the chassis.
The Hybrid Serial-Parallel fan arrangement provides excellent cooling in the hard to cool 1U market. Five fans arranged in a front to side cooling scheme give the chassis 22 CFM of overall airflow.
