DFI ACP today launches a new mini-DTX form factor motherboard offering lower power consumption and higher performance for compact embedded systems . This new model utilizes the Intel® GM45 Graphics Memory Controller Hub and Intel® ICH 9M Southbridge, supporting the Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T9400 with 1066 MHz FSB based on 45nm process technology. Mini-DTX is a new form factor measuring 8.0" x 6.7" ( 203 mm x 170 mm ), which provides additional expansion capability over Mini-ITX.
"Many of our customers require additional processing speed to support new product applications, but are constrained by power or thermal-limitations," said Andy Lu , Managing Director of DFI. "The new Mobile Intel® GM45 Express chipset and Intel® Core™2 Duo processors based on 45nm process technology enables DFI to address this market requirement. Our new CA230-BF Mini-DTX motherboard provides a substantial performance increase over previous mobile platforms, while lowering power and thermal requirements."
Maximum performance is leveraged with up to 8GB DDR2 667/800MHz dual-channel memory, one PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet controller, UltraDMA 100Mbps IDE controller, DVI graphics port, and LVDS DFP display interface. The CA230-BF also provides 4 Serial ATA ports with speed up to 3Gb/s, 8 USB 2.0/1.1 ports, 2 Serial COM ports, 1 PCI Express x16 slot, 1 PCI Express x1 slot, and 1 PCI slot .
This motherboard provides outstanding performance and is designed specifically for embedded applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform. The CA230-BF Mini-DTX motherboard is ideal for applications such as gaming machines, digital signage, industrial control automation, medical equipment, telecom, transportation, network, and security applications .
