Paloverde is a reference platform for converged triple-play applications, based on the Intel® IXP425 Network Processor and video CODECs from Sigma Designs and VWeb. Paloverde is a standards-based digital home solution providing media browsing, storage, playback, recording, and multi-room content distribution, in addition to residential gateway functions such as VoIP, VPN, security and 802.11. Paloverde supports major digital home interoperability standards and initiatives: DLNA, Intel® Networked Media Product Requirements (Intel® NMPR), Intel® Viiv technology, and UPnP. Not simply a set-top box or media player, Paloverde offers full media transcoding capabilities to enable multi-room and network PVR functionality as well as video conferencing and surveillance applications. Paloverde is supported by major operating systems and media middleware software partners.
