The ENP-2505 & ENP-2506 are PCI-based boards incorporating the Intel® IXP1200 NPU and support application I/O of four 10/100Base-Tx and two 1000Base-X (SFP) Ethernet ports, respectively. Except for the I/O configuration, these two products are identical, allowing most of the applications code to be common in a mixed I/O system such as a router/aggregator. The ENP-2505 and ENP-2506, incorporating Intel IXP1200 network processor technology, enables programmable wire speed packet processing without the high development costs and risks associated with ASIC-based designs. They are based on programmable network processor technology, so that they offer the maximum possible functional flexibility. Either product can be programmed to implement a wide variety of applications, thus minimizing time-to-market.
