The TurboIXP high-performance low power embedded system with Intel® IXP465 RISC Network Processor consists of a processor module mounted on an adapter board. The processor module can be easily integrated with a custom adapter board to meet customer's specific product requirements.
The TurboIXP system (with the processor module and adapter board) contains the IXP465 processor, 128 MB of DDR-1 SDRAM, supports up to 64 MB of Flash, two PCMCIA interfaces, one PCI and one mini PCI interfaces, one 32-bit expansion bus, two CAN interfaces, two serial ports, five USB 2.0 host ports up to 480Mbps, one USB 2.0 host port up to 12Mbps, one USB 1.1 function port up to 12Mbps, two 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet interfaces, IEEE1588 support, one SSP interface, and one I2C interface. The processor module by itself houses the IXP465 processor, SDRAM and Flash memories, the PCI, IEEE1588, SSP and I2C interfaces. It also supports the 32-bit expansion bus and the two serial ports with additional circuitry provided on the adapter board, the USB 1.1 function port and USB 2.0 host port with connectors provided on the adapter board, and the Ethernet interface also with connectors provided on the adapter board.
