DFI-ACP today launches a new small form factor module CT930-B, an ECX form factor motherboard. The Embedded Compact Extended (ECX) form factor conforms to Intel's open standard measuring 105 mm × 146 mm (4.13" × 5.75"), which enables a 75 percent space reduction compared to a micro-ATX board. The ECX standard provides for customization using an expansion daughterboard. Providing developers with the advantage of faster time to market, reduced development cost, reduced risk, and lower total cost of ownership through scalability.
The CT930-B ECX form factor motherboard is based on the Mobile Intel® 945GM Express chipset, accepting Intel® Core™ DUO processor, Intel® Core™ Solo processor and Intel® Celeron® M processors. Features include up to 2GB 400/533/667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM system memory, 1 Marvell PCI Express Gigabit controller, 2 SATA interfaces, 1 IDE interface, 1 VGA port, 1 LVDS display interface, 2USB ports and 1 CompactFlash connector. The first ECX daughterboard, EXT-ECX1, provides 1 Chrontel CH7307C based DVI-I graphics interface, 1 Mini-PCI slot and 2 USB 2.0 ports. Additional daughterboard designs are in development and custom board design services are available now.
This CT930-B module is ideal for a wide variety of applications such as medical diagnostic equipment, POS/ATM equipment, portable test equipment and mobile applications.
Note: Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) and Low Voltage (LV) processor is available on special order.
